HOW WE SELECT SCHOLARS
Our selection is transparent and fair. We believe the best athletes are also committed students. Here's exactly how we evaluate applications.
Athletic Talent
Technical skills, physical ability, and game intelligence — assessed by Eagle Creek coaches during the try-out. No previous competitive experience required.
Academic Performance
GPA estimate provided by parents (honor system). We believe great athletes are great students. A 3.0+ GPA is preferred, but we evaluate holistically.
Essay & Motivation
100–200 words answering: "Why does your child deserve this scholarship?" We read every essay. Specificity and authenticity matter more than writing skill.
Coachability & Attitude
Observed during the try-out. How does your child respond to instruction? Do they encourage teammates? Eagle Character is part of every evaluation.
Our commitment: Every application is read by a human. We don't auto-reject based on GPA alone. A child with a 2.5 GPA who shows exceptional character and athletic potential may receive a scholarship. We evaluate the whole person.
